Overview

Three kilometres of tape, one iconic A.

As part of the Adobe Remix project, Klebebande (Bruno "BeezeBoe" Kolberg, Bodo Höbing, and Nikolaj "NkoBu" Bultmann) transformed a flat six-metre-wide, seven-metre-tall fibreboard wall into a dynamic, three-dimensional installation that played with perception and depth.

It's a pretty impressive feat!

Their idea was perfectly on-brand. Use tape like Illustrator layers, stacking black and grey lines so the logo hovers in its virtual workspace while the red "A" pops like a neat swatch in the toolbar.

This was a proper workout for real life.

What sounds slick on screen was a proper workout in real life. The team three spent a week curating every angle in Illustrator, then clocked twenty-five hours on site with nothing other than box cutters, seven widths of off-the-shelf duct tape, and a cherry picker for the high parts.

By the time the last stripe was pressed down they'd unfurled about three kilometres of tape across forty-two square metres! That in itself would have made Macgyver proud.
