Overview

Is it good, when Looks Like Good features The NoGood Book?

For sure.

If you aren’t familiar with NoGood, they’re an Amsterdam-based illustrator inspired by retro tech and fuelled by open-web counterculture. As a creative, they’ve built their work around finding a way to make something meaningful, rooted in the philosophy of the open web and open-source software.

The NoGood book released in August 2026 and brings together five years of illustration projects. It charts the process, along with thoughts and reflections on influential essays by writers and thinker who shaped the work, including Cory Doctorow, Douglas Rushkoff, Joan Westenberg.

It’s design with a point of view. In a world where so much looks the same, having an insight into the creative process is really refreshing. It also helps that the work itself is brilliant.
