Project Information

A factory full of second chances and a lot of doors.

At Vechtclub XL, every door tells a story and that's probably because they literally do. When the old medicine factory in Utrecht got its second life as a co-working hub, they didn’t just open new doors; they kept the old ones too. Repurposing 800 doors from nearby renovation projects to use as partitions and design elements throughout the space.

There's something wonderfully scrappy, organic and human about it that you can't manufacture. It's a little rough around the edges, full of personality, and proudly unpolished and that's what I love about it.
