In the evolving Houthavens area, once a bustling old port of Amsterdam and now a hub for creative industries, i29 Interior Architects and VMX Architects have crafted a workspace for MediaXplain that reflects its maritime surroundings.The building's angled glass facade, reminiscent of a ship's wheelhouse, opens out to a wide harbour while minimising glare. A thoughtful nod to both form and day-to-day practicality of a working space.

The industrial aesthetic continues throughout, with raw concrete walls, rough oak furnishings and custom-designed carpets that echo the look of concrete but soften the space acoustically.

It’s a well-considered interior that feels grounded in its setting while supporting the rhythm and demands of a contemporary media agency.
