Overview

Catching Sunrise Between Paris and Tokyo

ZIM&ZOU describe Le Faubourg (Hermès' Paris flagship) as a place defined by its great freedom of thought and expression and Flying Faubourg (their window display created for the June 2024 opening of Hermès' second Ginza location) feels like the perfect embodiment of this philosophy.

I love how the warm colours capture dawn's journey. The literal moment when morning light hits Tokyo first before traveling westward to Europe, and I think here lies the true charm of the project as it's such thoughtful storytelling through colour alone.

It's tactile and architectural, whimsical yet grounded in craft.. Serious handmade paper and leather craft. It's straight-up amazing work that makes you want to stop everything and just stare.
