In a beautiful fusion of past and present, the Rijksmuseum's digital initiative, Rijksstudio, and online marketplace Etsy collaborated to breathe new life into classic artworks.

Rijksstudio provides over 300,000 high-res images from the Rijksmuseum's collection, which are freely available for anyone to download and use. This open-access approach encourages artists and designers to reinterpret historical art in modern contexts.

One highlight of this collaboration is a silk chiffon kimono by Norwegian Wood, which beautifully features Jan Asselijn’s 1650 painting, The Threatened Swan.
