Overview

From sea to sweet: A taste of place.

For the 2014 Callebaut Ambassadors’ Seminar in Barcelona, Ingrid Picanyol teamed up with pastry chef Josep Maria Ribé to create a limited-edition gift.

They created a series of four boxes of chocolate dragees, each representing a different landscape that defines the region: sea, mountain, city, and countryside. In itself, that is a lovely approach, but there’s one more clever part. The size of each box corresponds to the actual percentage that each environment occupies around Barcelona: 21% sea, 30% mountain, 6% city, and 43% countryside.

It's these thoughtful little considerations, the layers of design that makes this project special. Its tactile, visual and a perfect topographic introduction to Barcelona.
